Winemaking Fruit harvested by hand at night/first light on September 16th, 2025. Whole cluster direct to press. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation. Fermented in neutral 500L puncheon (33%), concrete egg (33%), and stainless steel drum (33%). Aged 5 months. Bottled unfined and lightly filtered.

The Character

Tasting Notes The 2025 Las Brisas Vineyard Vermentino shimmers pale yellow, with sunlight practically trapped in the glass. Honeydew rind and plumeria leap out first, cheeky and unexpected, while lime leaf zings in to keep you on your toes. On the palate, rambutan bursts with juicy energy, Makrut lime adds a lively tang, and a pinch of Maldon flaky salt keeps everything sharp and a little surprising. Crisp, flinty, and utterly vibrant, the finish holds its own—bright, playful, and full of character.

The Story

Located in the heart of Carneros on a west-facing slope lies Las Brisas Vineyard (“the Breezes” in Spanish), the preeminent vineyard of Vermentino in the U.S. Daily morning fog is followed by cooling breezes from the San Pablo Bay. It’s owned by the esteemed Mahoney family, early pioneers and dedicated growers of Vermentino in California.
