The Story
PINOT NOIR grapes from west of Santa Rosa on a small rise surrounding Benovia winery. The majority of the grapes we purchased from Martaella Vineyard were slated to be a part of the Le Russe cuvée in 2018 but a few barrels of one clone – Dijon 943 , bottled separately. Of the 3 single vineyard Pinot releases from 2018, Martaella Vineyard is the most structured and concentrated.

He turned to the Russian River Valley, where Pacific fog and mountain air create California's most dramatic growing climate. Small-lot Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, sourced from legendary sites, crafted to let the land speak. Named for the valley itself — maritime coast meets mountain ridge. These are his legacy wines.
