The Character
Tasting Notes The color is a deep, dense velvety black. Its structure is vibrant and appealing, with fine, rich, ripe fruits. Hints of black cherry and cassis are enhanced by dark-fruit fragrances and a touch of sweet spice. On the palate, its elegance derives and soft tannins, finishing with a sleek minerality. It is a wine of classic structure and a touch of mystique.
The Story
Clos Cantenac is a small but seductive 15-acre property with carefully planted vines on an exceptional terroir of deep gravel, sand and clay over limestone situated close to the prehistoric “Megalith de Pierrefitte.” This enchanting Saint-Emilion vineyard was purchased in 2007 by Martin Krajewski and his friend Marcus Le Grice. Together with Martin’s daughter Charlotte as winemaker, the house proudly respects the history and culture of the region to traditionally craft fine Grand Cru wines.
