Biscaye Baie

Biscaye Baie is made from historic hillside vineyards in the ancient region of Carcassonne, producing a distinctive and expressive wine crafted from 100% Sauvignon Blanc. This area, first cultivated in Roman times, has long been recognized for its exceptional natural conditions and rich viticultural heritage.

The vineyards are located near the fortified medieval city of Carcassonne, world-famous for its UNESCO-listed citadel and the Canal du Midi. Situated between the Pyrenees to the south and the Black Mountains to the north, the region benefits from a privileged climatic position where Mediterranean warmth is softened by Atlantic influences. Sunny, dry days followed by cool nights allow the Sauvignon Blanc grapes to ripen slowly, preserving freshness, aromatic intensity and balance.

The soils, dating back to the prehistoric Jurassic period, contribute to the wine’s vibrant structure and mineral tension. Biscaye Baie offers a modern and refined expression of Sauvignon Blanc, with bright aromas of pear, white peach, lychee and passion fruit, supported by crisp acidity and a refreshing finish.
To ensure the highest level of quality and consistency, Biscaye Baie is produced as a Vin de France. This choice allows greater control over vineyard selection, harvesting decisions and winemaking practices, ensuring that each vintage fully expresses the purity, freshness and elegance of the wine.
