Cesarini Sforza

ALPINE SPARKLING WINE HERITAGE
Cesarini Sforza was founded in 1974 in the Val di Cembra, a narrow valley stretching 30 kilometers through steep, terraced vineyards in Trento. Rising to 1000 meters in altitude, the area combines cool nights, sunny days, and distinctive red porphyric soils—conditions now recognized as among the best in Italy for white and sparkling wines. Though administratively in Trento, the valley's latitude places it alongside Alto Adige, underscoring its alpine identity. Since 1993, Trento has stood out as one of the first regions outside Champagne to achieve official sparkling wine certification, today represented under the Trentodoc designation.

Philosophy

TERROIR-DRIVEN METODO CLASSICO
The wines of Cesarini Sforza reflect the valley's natural intensity and freshness, shaped by altitude, soil, and climate. Fermentations rely on native yeasts, avoiding additions, so that complexity arises directly from the vineyard environment. The red porphyric soils and wide diurnal temperature swings produce wines with pronounced aromatics, mineral character, and energy. Winemaker Andrea Buccella directs production with a clear focus on expressing the distinct personality of Trentodoc through precise and elegant metodo classico wines.

As an Agronomist and a winemaker, he has worked with both conventional and organic vineyard management, gaining lots of experience in Tuscany, both in white and red vinification. For over 15 years he has worked in the sparkling wine field, first in the Franciacorta Region and now in Trentino, at Cesarini Sforza Spumanti.
