Ch Vieux Chevrol

In 1921, Martial Champseix, originally from the Auvergne region, began trading wines from the Libournais area, which he particularly cherished.
Fulfilling his dream, he became a winemaker by settling at Vieux Chevrol, which he acquired on the wonderful terroir of Lalande de Pomerol.

This beautiful adventure was lived as a family with his wife Fernande and their son Jean-Pierre. With dedication and hard work, the vineyard was restructured, replanted, and brought back to life.
It was from this deep attachment to the land that the unique identity of Vieux Chevrol was born — both family-run and premium — just as we know it today.

Jean-Pierre, passionate about history, in turn carried on the legacy of the family vineyard alongside his wife Gerharde.
Their children, Jeanne and Michel, were involved from a young age in the life of the estate — labeling bottles, welcoming customers, and of course, enjoying the warm atmosphere of the manual harvest.

Michel too was swept up by the family passion and went off to discover other vineyards in Alsace and the United States.
Full of ideas for Vieux Chevrol, he didn’t stay away from the family vines for long!
After completing studies in agricultural engineering and oenology, it was only natural that he became a winemaker in 2013 — the year of his first vintage.

By 2015, he had converted the entire vineyard to organic farming.

The work continues as a family, now joined by Marion, also an agricultural engineer, specializing in agroecology.
