The Story
For the first time, Jerome and Lyse in 2020 separately vinified and bottled their parcel in Aux Saint-Juliens, a lieu-dit nestled against the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges itself along its northern edge. These 1987-planted vines produce a wine, as with the Charbonnieres, more thickly fruited than the basic Nuits-Saint-Georges bottling, but an underlying sense of salinity here, along with starker and less buffered tannins, gives it a more linear and penetrating personality.
