Producer Story
450 years ago, Argentinian roads or "rutas" were plagued by bandits. The noblest "gauchos", brave and skilled horsemen, were recruited to Mendoza to protect the precious grapes of the region. And so was born Ruta 22.
All winemaking takes place under the direction and supervision of Piedra Negra Winery's founder, François Lurton, a world-renowned 5th generation ‘flying winemaker’ (Argentina, Chile, France, Spain, and Portugal).
