Tasting Notes This is an elegant example of our Monticello Vineyard in Oak Knoll that gives beautifully developed bright wines. Block III has such a distinct character giving velvety acidity, aromas of bright bing cherry, red fruits, and an elegance of the vineyard that comes through in this vintage. The bright acidity gives great structure for a beautifully framed Pinot Noir, which has been at the heart of our story in Napa since the beginning.

The Story
Pinot Noir is one of the original reasons the Corley family came to Oak Knoll. When Jay Corley began farming here in 1970, he believed this cooler southern part of Napa Valley had the right balance of morning fog, afternoon sun, and bay influence to grow exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
This 5102 Pinot Noir comes from a single block on our Oak Knoll property, planted in 1998. Our approach is simple: farm with care, let the fruit speak, and make a wine that reflects the land it comes from. Bright, balanced, and medium-bodied, this Pinot shows the freshness and character that first drew our family to this site more than 55 years ago.
A fun piece of family history: in the early 1990s, second-generation vintner Kevin Corley flew to Oregon to look at special Pinot Noir clones, including some of the earliest Dijon clones legally brought into the United States. That farming curiosity and commitment to better winegrowing still guide how we care for our Pinot today.
