The Story

In 2023 we gained access to more fruit from the Sage Ridge vineyard high above Lake Hennessey at an elevation of 850 to 1480 feet. Coupled with some lots of the Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper vineyard we have used this opportunity to create a wine at a somewhat friendlier price point for Napa Valley Cabernet. Other producers in the Sage Ridge vineyard include Bevan Cellars, PerUs, Secret Door Winery, Hall, and Argot.

About Carte Blanche Wine

Producer Story

Nicholas Allen grew up with one foot on American soil and the other immersed in the culture of two of Bordeaux’s oldest, greatest châteaux. He gained an early exposure and genuine interest in wine at the family dinner table. A restless, independent, free spirit, Nick knew he had to make his own mark on the world of wine. He looked west to the Napa Valley, where he found the tabula rasa he could transform into something entirely his: Carte Blanche Wine.
