Livon- SNS

Founded in 1964 by Dorino Livon in the heart of Friuli’s Collio hills, Livon is a family-run winery built on a deep reverence for land, tradition, and innovation. What began as a single vineyard in Ruttars has grown into a benchmark estate with holdings across three of Italy’s most celebrated wine regions: Friuli Venezia Giulia, Tuscany, and Umbria. Today, Livon is guided by the second and third generations of the family, who carry forward the vision with integrity, curiosity, and a commitment to quality.
Livon’s home base in Collio is renowned for its mineral-rich “flysch” soils and ideal microclimate for white wines. Here, indigenous varieties like Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, and Malvasia thrive alongside international grapes, producing elegant, terroir-driven wines that reflect Friuli’s unique identity. The estate's signature winged woman logo—created by the iconic artist Erté—symbolizes the blend of art, tradition, and finesse that defines Livon’s portfolio.
Beyond Friuli, Livon’s dedication to place and sustainability extends to Borgo Salcetino in Chianti Classico and Fattoria Colsanto in Montefalco. Each estate is managed with the same meticulous attention to environmental stewardship—incorporating organic practices, integrated pest management, and low-impact vineyard work—to preserve the character of the land for generations to come.
With more than five decades of winemaking experience, Livon continues to be a standard-bearer for Friulian excellence. Their wines are consistently recognized by Italy’s top critics and reflect a timeless balance of authenticity, elegance, and innovation.
