The Story
Vitruvian is Beaumont’s flagship red blend, named for the Vitruvian Mill in the estate’s historic 250-year-old watermill. It represents the culmination of the Beaumont family’s experience farming their Bot River vineyards since 1974. The 2017 blend—Mourvèdre, Syrah, Pinotage, and Tinta Barocca—is crafted to express elegance over power. With 60% co-fermented for early integration, the result is a wine of structure, balance, and purity, reflecting a true sense of place and vintage.

The farm is home to the region’s oldest wine cellar and is steeped in history dating back to the 1700’s. In 2004, Sebastian Beaumont, having honed his skills working in vineyards, took over the reins in the cellar and has continued to build the Beaumont reputation.
