The Story

Vineyard Background: In 2014, Tom Gamble purchased this 34-acre property with 20 acres of vineyard, some planted as early as the 1970s. Located at the western edge of Napa Valley, the vineyard is perched at 1,900 feet of elevation on the north face of Mount Veeder. Named after Tom’s mother Mary Ann McGuire, the vineyard reflects her refined elegance and steadfast resolve in the face of challenging conditions. Mary Ann was a key influence behind Gamble Estates and an advocate for the 1968 Napa Valley Agricultural Preserve, which protects vineyards and wineries.
