The Character

Overall Elegant and rounded with silky smooth tannins.
Aromas Cherry, raspberry, clove, mushrooms, vanilla, allspice
Mouthfeel Medium bodied, with no harsh edges.
Tasting Notes Pinot Noir is among the most demanding of grape varieties, requiring sites that allow full phenolic ripeness without sacrificing natural acidity—a balance classically achieved in Burgundy’s finest vineyards. In the highlands of central Mexico, however, and under the guidance of a masterful winemaker, Pinot Noir has clearly found a compelling new home. The only Mexican Pinot Noir to earn a 92-point score from Europe’s esteemed Guía Peñín, this wine stands as a powerful testament to Mexico’s ability to produce distinctive, world-class expressions of even the most exacting grapes.
Selling Point truly fantastic Pinot Noir from Mexico!
Pairings Braised chicken, pork loin, roasted duck, salmon, ahi tuna.
Awards 92pts Guia Peñin

The Story

Of course the best Pinot Noir in Mexico is coming from this allstar estate in the highlands of central Mexico - where else! Proving with this finicky grape that they can do no wrong, this wine stands to put Mexico on the map for wines made from this varietal, which is no small task. Finding good Pinot Noir anywhere in the world is challenging, and to find it in Mexico makes it all the more special.
