Tasting Notes The Sierra Madre Vineyard Chardonnay was aged in French oak barrels and went through malolactic fermentation leading to a soft and creamy texture while keeping the stunning fruit notes. The wine opens with soft notes of green apple, pear and apricot. The palate is elegant and creamy bursting with flavors of pineapple, melon and coconut with a slight hint of pepper before the long, creamy finish.

The Story
The 2021 CRŪ Sierra Madre Chardonnay is sourced solely from the Sierra Madre Vineyard. First planted in 1971, the vineyard is located in Northern Santa Barbara County, near the western edge of the Santa Maria Valley. The Sierra Madre Vineyard is recognized as one of California’s finest cool-climate vineyards and the coldest vineyard in the state leading to a long, drawn-out growing season.
