Tasting Notes This wine has notes of red and black cherry, violet and spice. The light but well-defined licorice-tinged bouquet opens nicely with aeration. The medium-bodied palate offers succulent black cherries and cassis on the entry and fine acidity. The finish is a bit tight but with time it softens.
Selling Point 250 years of Liger-Belair family winemaking
Pairings Roasted chicken, mushrooms, vegetable risotto

The Story

This cuvée is a blend of five terroirs in the Chambolle-Musigny appellation; namely Les Mal Carrées, Les Maladières, Derrière le Four, Les Fremières, and Les Gamaires. It offers a lovely representation of the texture and typicity of Chambolle-Musigny wines. The vines were planted between 1952 and 1963 and bring fine length without any austerity.

About Domaine Thibault Liger Belair

Producer Story

Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair represents the continuation of a 250-year-old winemaking tradition passed down through the Liger-Belair family. Thibault Liger-Belair took over the family vines in 2001 at age 26, founding his namesake domaine in Burgundy. What began with premier and village-level Pinot Noir has since grown to include Grand Cru holdings and an expansion into Beaujolais, where the domaine now produces a Beaujolais-Villages and several site-specific Moulin-à-Vent wines—all crafted with precision, heritage, and a clear sense of place.
