Aromas raspberry, wild strawberry & licorice
Mouthfeel Medium-bodied & Mature
Tasting Notes The color is ruby red, its intense aromatic expression evokes raspberry and wild strawberry, and often licorice when the wine has matured. Medium-bodied, it combines its tannins with a consistently abundant softness and a good level of acidity. Very pleasant to taste now, it will be able to wait a few more years (1-2 years).
The Story
This plot has an area of 0.20 ha. The original planting dates back to 1964. The vines were fallow from 2013 to 2014 and were replanted in 2015.

Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair represents the continuation of a 250-year-old winemaking tradition passed down through the Liger-Belair family. Thibault Liger-Belair took over the family vines in 2001 at age 26, founding his namesake domaine in Burgundy. What began with premier and village-level Pinot Noir has since grown to include Grand Cru holdings and an expansion into Beaujolais, where the domaine now produces a Beaujolais-Villages and several site-specific Moulin-à-Vent wines—all crafted with precision, heritage, and a clear sense of place.
