The Story

The Château de Pougelon, owned by the Descombe family, is situated in the heart of Beaujolais. Committed to organic and regenerative agricultural practices, the Descombe family is the pionneer of agroecology and agroforestry in Beaujolais. The lieu-dit “Pougelon” is a magnificent granite terroir on the edge of the Brouilly vintage appellation. His poor soils give this wine a prominent fruit and a beautiful structure liquorice.
