The Character
Overall Full bodied, bold and layered red
Aromas Cherry, tobacco, cedar, dried fig and blueberry compote
Mouthfeel Bold but bright. Full bodied but structured
Tasting Notes A full-bodied red with beautifully rounded tannins and a build that will allow it to age well over time. Cherry tobacco, cedar, dried fig and blueberry compote provide the foundation for the tertiary components of coconut, vanilla, wet stone and cured meats. As the vines of this young estate age, their wines just get better and better, noticeably deriving more character from their soils with each passing year. They seem to be dialing in their barrel regime as well as the tannin management on this bottling shows significant improvement.
Selling Point Organic farming, small production, bold balanced red
Pairings Red meat, especially fast cuts. Pork and mole dishes with rich and complex sauces.
Sustainability Green Practicing, Sustainable In Practice
The Story
From an estate that works mainly with monovarietal expression, this is a reference Tempranillo of the region. Bold and full bodied without being heavy and with all of the structure and balance of acid to lift up and carry the ripeness of fruit.
