Winemaking Both vineyards were hand-harvested at night in July, a month to two months earlier than normal. The fruit was gently destemmed without crushing and fermented open-topped with punchdowns by hand for gentle extraction. Aged in concrete and flex tanks for 7 months.

Tasting Notes This wine shows fresh strawberries, red fruit, espresso, bergamot and an iron-like minerality unique to the Hickory Sands. This fresh, juicy, soft wine is for drinking now, but will build more complexity and bouquet in the bottle over winter. Drink it with sunshine, pomegranate chevre salad, fall tomatoes, bbq'd poultry or game, rabbit confit or just a light chill.
